How do we become a Trade Partner?
Efficiency, accountability and mutual advantage are key to our definition of excellence in maintaining healthy supplier partnerships. Strengthening these partnerships requires us to listen, learn and share solutions to further our collective challenges.
By filling out the Becoming a Supplier (BAS) form, you can complete a questionnaire that will provide us with basic information about your company and products while giving you an understanding about our business philosophy and practices.
We are committed to establishing relationships with diverse businesses that can ensure that products and services provided through our suppliers translate into customer satisfaction – and that is our No. 1 commitment.
Please note: Completion of the BAS form does not guarantee you to become a supplier. The authorized service buyers make decisions for all purchase programs.
The questionnaire must be completed and returned at the email address or fax number provided on the form. The home office buyer will review your paperwork. If approved, you will receive the vendor agreement. If rejected, you will receive a letter stating the reason for rejection.
This process is required in order to become a supplier. No purchase orders or merchandise may be placed on our panel until an approved vendor number is obtained by Trade Mark-Down management.
What happens with my proposal?
Supplier Development will review your application and forward it to the appropriate buyer. The buyer may schedule a meeting to discuss business opportunities or may simply send an e-mail requesting a more detailed questionnaire be filled out. Please note, TMD will maintain initial, primary and advanced contact to ensure common and ethical business interests throughout the business and legal processes. Following this submission, the buyer may grant the vendor agreement to be filled out and signed by the supplier through TMD only. From this agreement we will establish a supplier number for your company. This is required before an order may be placed. Once a decision is made whether to purchase your product or decline it, you will receive an email either with next steps or with an explanation of why the product was not a fit for Trade Mark-Down at this time.
We're glad you chose to explore doing business with us. We are committed to providing value as well as quality products and services for our customers. By working closely with our suppliers to drive down costs, we can pass the savings on to our customers. We realize it requires time and effort to complete and send in your proposal packet, and we know that we may not be right for every business. However, regardless of whether we do business together, we hope your experience with us will be worthwhile to your overall business development.
